I began playing drums at the age of 12 and at 16 started recording on a 4 track. I attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences in 1997 and have 20+ years of professional experience involving recording, playing, touring drum-tech, local live sound, and teaching. I’ve engineered several projects with Sylvia Massy and love the sonic personality of the Neve 8038 and the vibe of it right there in the same room with the musicians. As a tracking engineer and/or co-producer I like the challenge of managing the chaos of full band sessions on the Neve and helping the the creativity come to life. I enjoy and have recorded a large variety of music, and I love rock & roll – and one man bands! As a mix engineer I generally prefer mixing analog on the Neve with all the advantages of the DAW too. As a drummer I am a rock & roller – with my strengths being solid groove & time, and keeping it simple and dynamic.
